I have long been interested in suits. I always feel best dressed in one, even as a child, which made for some funny photos of young Nolan wearing a suit out of context. To this day I like wearing suits, and I wish I wore them more often.

I have to admit I am timid when it comes to wearing suits, as it brings some unwanted attention. It also sometimes feels like it could be perceived as coming from a place of elitism which is not the right direction. I still think it is cool to wear a suit out of context, but it takes a level of confidence.

With this confidence, one can wear a beautifully tailored suit from Husbands Paris. So rarely does one look at a fashion labels collection and like every piece, and for me their collections are right on the mark. When viewing their lookbook you can see how well the suits drape over the body they are made for. In combination with a stacked heel boot or shoe, it is a masterclass in classic Parisian tailoring. Their jeans and more casual clothing options are also clearly cared for and tailored with the same amount of energy as their suits.

For now, I’ll be scouring the racks at vintage shops searching for a similar silhouette, but I would rather be wearing a Husbands Paris suit.
